Heart + Voice's Winter 2024 production is a sacred hour-and-a-half oratorio called "Converted Unto the Lord", which will show on February 24–25 and March 2–3, 2024, in various venues along the Wasatch Front. We're ready to find our next cast of talented performers to make this show a reality!
We're looking for several soloists, 4 narrators, a full choir, and various instrumentalists. We're also looking for a stage manager, an audio engineer, and a social media manager. If you're worried about your skill level, apply anyways! We'd love to see what you can do.
The audition is a simple form where you provide some required information and a video link of you showcasing your talents. After the audition period closes on November 22, 2023, we'll invite certain applicants to a callback to see more of their talents and cast all the roles. You'll be notified by email if you don't make it to callbacks. The casting will be finalized by the end of November, and sheet music will be distributed in December for you to start learning on your own.
Rehearsals will be held in Provo/Orem on:
Shows will then be held on:
Attendance for singers is required at all rehearsals. (Instrumentalists will have a smaller rehearsal commitment.) If you know you'll be unavailable once or twice, we can usually work it out if you notify the Stage Manager beforehand. But, if you have consistent conflicts on Sunday nights, you might consider joining Heart + Voice in a later semester when your schedule clears up!
Performing with Heart + Voice is a rewarding experience that combines a gospel environment with the opportunity to share your musical talents. Cast mates often become lifelong friends, and your music will have an influence for good on those who attend our shows!
If you have questions about the audition, you can email cristian@heartandvoice.org. Or feel free to reach out to any former cast member you know and ask about their experience!
